The customer is responsible for the purchase of the van and there are two options – purchase at a dealer near your home and bring it to us, or use a dealer in the Pittsburgh area. (Note: There’s no advantage to using a dealer local to us, other than the proximity to our shop, as we have no agreements or arrangements with any Dodge Ram dealer.) Regardless of which path you choose, our customers supply the van for their build.

This depends largely on the quantity and complexity of the requested modifications, but once we have a finalized design plan, the build usually takes 10 to 15 weeks.

This depends on what you have today and what you’re looking to have when completed.  During design, we can discuss specifications and prices for key components so you can make the best decision for your needs and budget.  We’ve seen simple builds completed for $35k and more luxurious builds go over $70,000.

For the initial build deposit of $1,000, we will accept a personal check or bank to bank wire transfer.

Subsequent payments for your build should be made using a bank to bank wire transfer.  We will provide you with the account information once the contract is signed.

We do not offer financing.  We would suggest you contact your local bank or credit union for financing information.

We are a full service builder, so we’re able to source and install each component for your build.  We have experience with many suppliers and can make recommendations based on your wants and needs.  If you have components already that you’d like to include, please let us know during the design discussion and we’ll do our best to include them!

Overlander Vans offers a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty on our labor and materials.  Components purchased for the build are subject to the manufacturer’s stated warranty.
